Wow, has it been a week! I feel a lot more confident now than I did halfway through the week. This is due in part to my comfort with photography. Because it is something I have always loved, the process of visual storytelling was a lot simpler for me to grasp, which made some of the assignments seem more manageable. However, I see tons of room for improvement. I am the first to say I am not the most tech-savvy person (computers and I have a love-hate relationship), and even as I am writing this, I am thinking of ways to improve for next week. A central focus of mine will be reading up even more on WordPress because I am still running into issues here and there. Another area I will focus on will be posting throughout the week and commenting on other pages. But with all that in mind, I will cut myself a little slack since it is only the first week because I can only grow from here. As I stated earlier, I love taking photographs, and the assignments that I completed for this week have only increased my love for photography. The topics discussed have given me more ideas to use in the future and have helped me create more dynamic photographs. I feel that visual storytelling is a useful medium because, with it, you can both be very direct with your image, or you can be abstract and leave it up to interpretation.
